1. Trim the stems

Snip about half an inch off each stem at a 45-degree angle. This helps flowers drink water more easily. Use sharp scissors or shears — dull blades crush stems.

2. Use a clean vase

Bacteria is the enemy of fresh flowers. Wash your vase with soap and warm water before filling it up.

3. Fresh water, every other day

Change the water every 1–2 days. And while you're at it, recut the stems. Your flowers will thank you.

4. Remove leaves below the waterline

Any leaves sitting in water will rot quickly. Strip them off so your bouquet stays fresh, not funky.

5. Keep them cool and out of direct sun

Heat is a flower's worst friend. Place your bouquet away from windows, radiators, and fruit bowls (fruit releases gases that make flowers wilt faster).

6. Mist them gently

A light spritz of water on petals — especially for wildflowers and hydrangeas — helps them stay hydrated between drinks.

Debris in the water can grow bacteria. Pluck out anything that's dropped in.

1. Keep the foam wet

Place the arrangement in a container (like a shallow dish or bowl) and add water daily. The foam will soak it up slowly. If the foam feels dry or light, it needs water.

2. Away from sun and heat

Just like vased flowers, foam arrangements wilt faster in direct sunlight or warm spots. Find them a cool, shaded home.

3. Mist the flowers gently

A light spritz on petals helps keep them fresh longer, especially in air-conditioned or heated rooms.

4. Don't recut or pull stems

The stems are secured in foam. Moving them can damage the arrangement. Just keep the foam wet and let the flowers do their thing.

Don't panic. Some flowers (like hydrangeas or tulips) get dramatic. Try recutting the stems and placing them in hot water for 30 minutes. Then back to cool fresh water. Often works like magic. 

We also love dried arrangements. They need almost no care — just keep them out of humidity and direct sunlight, and dust gently. They'll last for months, sometimes years.

If a specific flower isn't available (seasonality, weather, supply), we'll substitute with something of equal or greater value that fits the same look and feel. 

Every bouquet comes with simple care instructions. But here's the short version: fresh water, trim the stems, keep them cool, and enjoy.
